Product Description

Turn, Turn, Turn. At SLOWCRAFT, we love the function (always have) and are now happy to see this delightful multifunctional slate piece. Indeed, it has a variety of uses: it can be used as a small turntable to aid in moving finger food, a rotating tray, a showcase for spices, or as a revolving plate and so on. With its central spiral over the charcoal matte surface, TUTTOTONDO revolving plate features a pure and minimalistic design, pleasing to the eye and the touch.

A modern take on the “lazy Susan” model, this revolving plate brings beauty to this old kitchen accessory. Inspired by antique origins and pure round shape, it revisits the essential and valuable black stone, bringing us a far cry from those old times, when grandma used to keep out one similar on her table. The natural raw stone finish blends impeccably with today’s materials and colours. This dark matte plate will work perfectly with any of your fragile-look porcelain or glass tableware sets, creating a stunning high contrast effect. Rich and elegant, this piece is also capable to make a statement by itself.

The craftsmen of the valley Fontanabuona, situated in the province of Genoa and famous for its rich slate quarries, can boast of the region’s long traditions in extraction and processing of this valuable material. Their skilful hands perform any kind of working with precision, care and real craftsmanship quality, creating delightful pieces of tableware and home décor from this famous black stone of Liguria. This wonderful piece appreciates such a valuable natural material like slate.

Only natural materials were used to craft this plate, free of lead and solvents.

ø 32 cm, th. 3 cm

The dimensions are given as estimated because each piece is entirely handcrafted and unique, so small differences that result from traditional craftsmanship techniques are not contestable.
